"Drivers don't pick their cars ... The cars pick their drivers. It's a mystical bond between man and machine." ~ I remember when those words were first uttered in-movie by the late Bernie Mac as "Bobby Bolivia" in Michael Bay's 2007 "Transformers" movie, when Shia LaBeouf's "Sam Witwicky" first picked Bumblebee - or rather Bumblebee picked him ... now eleven years later, Hailee Steinfeld's "Charlie Watson", will discover the Rick-Rolled- ejecting Transformer G1-era designed Volkswagen Beetle!
"On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie, on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken." (IMDb)
The very first "spin-off" of the Transformers movie franchise, "Bumblebee: The Movie" also stars John Cena (as an agent from "Sector 7"), and is directed by Travis Knight ("Kubo and the Two Strings"). Premieres December 21, 2018 in USA, Dec 20th in Singapore.
TRAILER SPOILER: Guess which other Generation-1 Transformer - in this case "Decepticon" shows up in the trailer?
