ThreeA Toys Announces BUMBLEBEE for Transformers DLX Scale Collectible Figure Series

ThreeA Toys announced/introduces the Transformers DLX Scale Collectible Figure Series, with the debut character figure to be BUMBLEBEE this December, alongside the release of the new TRANSFORMERS BUMBLEBEE film!

"Each DLX Scale Collectible figure features intricately detailed sculpts, a high range of articulation, LED illuminated details, diecast metal parts, and the expert paint weathering that 3A is known for – all at a smaller scale and lower price point!"

Apparently featuring 50+ points of articulation, stay tuned for further details to follow. The figure was on display at the recently concluded Shanghai Comic Con (pic above). Certainly with a more economical size and perhaps financially viable for the masses - not just the "hardcore" collectors in their earlier line, this looks to be a fab collaboration with the film too.

And so the newest trailer for BUMBLEBEE has just dropped online, and amidst my excitement since developed from said trailer, I froze in my seat with utter delight when G1 SOUNDWAVE appeared! Hot-damn, this looks THE film Generation-One Transformer-loving fans can look forward to, after all these years Bayformers!

Oh yeah, there be otherG1-Transformers as well, including Optimus Prime = All of whom are on Cybertron!

Paramount Pictures' BUMBLEBEE premieres December 21st in the U.S.A., December 20th on Singapore-screens!

TRANSFORMERS' BUMBLEBEE from 3A Toys

Two Words: "Transformers" and "3A". And with 3A Toys' track record of producing mecha toys, and perhaps an anticipated "redo" ala the art of Ashley Wood, this series no doubt has folks' collective interests piqued!

And the first to be revealed is BUMBLEBEE! And while I do not know for certain if the Autobot figure can be "transformed" physically-by-hand into vehicle mode (Don't reckon it does, innit? LOL), I am certainly struggling to find any difference between the 3A Toys edition, and the Michael Bay movie-version haha

Initially solicited as a "December" pre-order release, the schedules has since been removed from the 3A Production Blog (I know because I prepped a post specifically about 3A Transformers before info was yanked LOL) … Nevertheless, more product info when I have them! Previously listed were also Optimus Prime, Starscream and Megatron. It remains to be seen if the release or even production roll call remains the same.

first we are treated to these delicious (rendered?) images of Ultimate Bumblebee on the Hasbro-website [images via], along with Optimus Prime (featured here just):

and i could but only drool in anticipation and veiled-fear = becoz it just looks too good to be "true" ... and in less that 24-hours, TFW2005.com previewed the current New York Toy Fair and came away with images galore for us Transfans!

and speaking of Barricade (wiki), this Police Car is gaining popularity amongst fans (if the feedback on forumboards is any indication):

i attribute it to a childhood of "police and robbers" and of the "coolness" of police-car sirens et al, that brings out the familiarity for most males, IMHO :p

and when was the last time you saw a Hollywood generic police-car NOT crashing upon themselves in a car-chase after the leading actor-as-villain? time for the Police to get back their due, innit? *heh* ... altho im not too sure about Starscream (wiki) tho:

i mean, as a "plane", he looks pretty decent (another childhood "vehicle of choice" = jet-plane ;p), but kinda "star-fish"-like as a Decepticon, IMHO ... even Bumblebee (wiki) seems a tad banal (ever since his last reveal here and here) - but perhaps a finished paintjob would be fairer to this possible soon-to-be Transformer-darling of the fans:

no, the images you see above are not made-in-china bootleg-toys (*heh*) = they are "apparently" prototypes toys (with no paint-apps) for the upcoming Transformers-movie (scheduled to release 2nd June 2007) = which i personally think reinforces (and reminds us) that tis all "plastic toys" at the end of the day, dunnit? *LOL*

now, i've not featured any of the current leaked "proto-forms" of the Transformer-toys (shown in full-glory here+here), becoz i don't really feel nor care for them (but that's just me) and looks way too Beast-Wars-ish for my taste - and this image (from tfw2005-board member "Mike") basically sums it up for me:

sponsorship/product-placement-heaven, innit? way cool if they were actually ordinary everyday devices/machines come to life in the aftermath of "Allspark" (as hypothesized by forum-folks) and become spies / scout-bots, gathering intel for the "invading" Decepticons! yes, that would be cool, IMHO and i personally might consider getting these "true-sized" toys (if they be) and in a weird way, somehow seem more "real" too, IMHO *heh*

since principle photography has stopped on the Transformers live-action movie, there's been a dire-drop in Transformer-news and sneak-images (not counting protoform toy leaks *urgh*) so the only thing we could look forward to are either more Transformer-designs and/or animated Autobots/Decepticons, innit? :)
