but "unfortunately" the "actual" toy [via] makes him look rather pre-schooler-ish, IMHO:

somehow i wish they could at least give a metallic paint-app or even weather them up a tad, for "realism", much less have the toys to scale with each other (ie: Tank is gonna be mondo-bigger than a car etc) ... oh well ... :p

yet another Decepticon named: Wreckage - which doesn't seem to be a part of the movie-line up (or at least he's not mentioned) and mayhap just another "toy" to join with the rest ... (unless of coz he's yet another "surprise" addition, eh?)

IMHO, you can see when this might not be a part of the movie-figures becoz he looks more "toy" than the "cumbersome" design-adaptation of movie-mechas ... *heh*

yes, call me slow, but now i can sorta recognize these Fast Action Battlers' Transformer movie-toys = they are "simpler" in their presentation and design, and mayhap caters to a much younger group with a lower threshold of their parents' money financial resources, IMHO (here's a list) ... shown here are two more to add to the giant-robot-fold, starting with Autobot; Jazz (last seen version):

and yet another incarnation of Starscream
(this Decepticon-dude either gets around a lot, or has gone thru so many re-designs, innit?)

and the Transformers movie prototype+test shots toys keep streaming in ~ let's start with the Autobot; Ironhide:

Ironhide looks like a real bruiser and the toy so far succeeds with bridging the look of the vehicle (the noticable chest- design) and the transformed-Autobot - heck, even the "face" looks fierce and "panther"-like hahahha

altho i haveta say the truck-form reminds me a tad of a kiddie-toy-truck, innit? ... but then again, them test-shots can be tricky, no? *heh*


next-up is Jazz (last seen in drawing)

can only wait for the final paint-app to decide tho ... but if it looks as good as the movie-version? *schweet*

and then we have Optimus Prime, along with an pretty awkward-looking "back-pack", doncha think? *yikes* ~ i hope they do right by him tho ... :p

a Decepticon-pox on those who'd tarnish Prime! *LOL* :p

finally we see another variation of Starscream, this time with a grinning-face! hahahaha (would the previous image be a "battle-damaged" version?)

*darn* ~ who else is missing from the movie-lineup so far? :p

transformer toy prototypes

possible prototype Transformer-movie toys revealed online [via/via]:

no, the images you see above are not made-in-china bootleg-toys (*heh*) = they are "apparently" prototypes toys (with no paint-apps) for the upcoming Transformers-movie (scheduled to release 2nd June 2007) = which i personally think reinforces (and reminds us) that tis all "plastic toys" at the end of the day, dunnit? *LOL*

the list:
(A) the odd-one out amongst the "vehicles" is Scorponok (film image revealed here)
(B) police car Barricade
(C) Jazz pontiac
(D) Bumblebee camero
(E) Brawl tank
(F) possibly Bonecrusher, but looks nothing like the movie-version (Buffalo) ... or mayhap this series may not be movie-accurate, innit?

well, so far all we get to see are Transformers-in-vehicle-mode (except for Scorponok) but if this preliminary Blackout-sculpt is any indication? i might just start picking up Transformer-toys, innit?

but don't hold your breathe, gentle-readers ... the last time i actually bought one was a near-lifetime ago:

now, i've not featured any of the current leaked "proto-forms" of the Transformer-toys (shown in full-glory here+here), becoz i don't really feel nor care for them (but that's just me) and looks way too Beast-Wars-ish for my taste - and this image (from tfw2005-board member "Mike") basically sums it up for me:

but what i really liked were these designs, which until
now, no one has been able to confirm whether they are
actually movie-toys, or just Transformers-related only:



sponsorship/product-placement-heaven, innit? way cool if they were actually ordinary everyday devices/machines come to life in the aftermath of "Allspark" (as hypothesized by forum-folks) and become spies / scout-bots, gathering intel for the "invading" Decepticons! yes, that would be cool, IMHO and i personally might consider getting these "true-sized" toys (if they be) and in a weird way, somehow seem more "real" too, IMHO *heh*
