ThreeA Toys at TFCon saw the display debut of MEGATRON GENERATION ONE! Scheduled for a 2017 debut, here are more snaps to gawk at the unpainted prototype., especially his weapons!

As well on show was their G1 OPTIMUS PRIME (previously featured), and thanks to Josh Coldiron’s coverage (on his Instagram @noritoy), also shows the chest cavity opening up!

Is This Megatron in Transformers: Age of Extinction?

Seen in the Super Bowl TV Spot for Transformers: Age of Extinction is a robot who transforms a part of itself into a (long) barreled cannon, and the Decepticon's MEGATRON automatically pops into mind, reminiscent of his Generation-1 heritage transforming into hand-held pistol? This is purely hyperbole and speculation on my part, and appeals to me somewhat, compared to the alien spaceship-monstrosity from the first three movies - which I actually did like as well, truth be told, but was so far away from the "source", ya know?

yes, gentle readers, Transformers movie toy news has come to an abrupt stop a virtual stand-still crawl, with most of the "surprises" and toy-images already revealed online, in various stages of evolution, from proto-types and test shots, to packaged toys - it's just not as fun anymore tracking them, isn't it? *heh*

regardless, these BK-toys literally forms and converts the next generation of Transfans, dunnit? and it is interesting (if not "predictable") how and where the franchise of Transformers would lead, especially with the talk of a movie-sequel in 2009 and a possible revamped cartoon series based on the movie-version on CBR [via]

transformers toys 2007: megatron, barricade and nike

pretty dismal on the toy-front, with loads enroute to toyshelves toy-warehouses globally (im sure :p), and/or already shown online to death (and i've seen the Real Gear figures up close at the local flea market but am unwilling to part with SGD$40 per piece, prototype or not :p) ... anyways, have a gander at the TFW2005.com release of Megatron Alt Mode (Proto-form?) - with the "encased-in-ICE" effect, that matches the on-set image [shown here]:

sweet-adaption, IMHO ... but not exactly on my to-buy-list ... *meh*

but i gotta say, this test-shot of Barricade in both vehicular and robot mode is looking mighty purdy in tangerine and violet pink [via]

ladies and gentlemen, this would be what it would like, if ever Hasbro's Transformers were to collaborate/crossover with Mattel's Barbie ... altho i wouldn't mind a 1/6th-version of that, seriously! *LOL*

transformer prototype toys update 2007 part six

a coupla quickie-proto-updates of "possible" Transformers movie toys ~ first up with the ebay auction of the transforming test-shot Gameboy Console (last featured here):

see if you can notice/recognize the graphics-shown on the "game screen" (*heh*)

and next up are two rather interesting versions of Megatron and Optimus Prime:

quite a muscled-looking duo, innit? personally looking waaaaay better than the ones we've seen before ... the thing is, as realistic as we'd all like to keep/have them, both vehicle and autobot/decepticon-forms needn't be that accurate to each other's transformation, do they? as vehicles themselves they could be sleek and cool, while the transformed-robots retain their mecha-glory and form - and in the "effort" to unify both, neither comes out looking cool, IMHO ~ am i making any sense here? ... ah well, tis just "toys", innit? *heh*

more leaked Transformer-movie designs, this time with a trio of images, starting with the "final" 3D-design render of Megatron! [via]

top-tier image is the "final"-3D-design, compared to the earlier featured renders at the bottom-tier, Megatron is shaping up to be quite an awesome evolved-looking mecha, IMHO - and hoping his "character" matches his look (unlike the quasi-whiny cartoon he used to be LOL ;p)

Ironhide is really shaping up to be a real cool-Autobot, at least from this CGI render [via]


while Frenzy (first revealed here) is still borderline "comedic", IMHO

cheeky-comparisons with Johnny5 is inevitable (*snicker*) ... but truly need to see the silver-screen adaptation of him to accurately judge, i reckon :p
